I cannot believe that it is already 100 days since I joined Channel Capital Advisors at the beginning of April. The time has flashed by but at the same time I feel as though I have been here longer than that! I put this down to the warm welcome and the support I have received from the whole team at Channel right from my very first day.
During my first 100 days I like to think I have been able to contribute to the business whilst at the same time becoming much more familiar with our key products of Factoring, Trade Finance & Debt products. We have started to streamline a few processes and introduced some new items to improve efficiencies across the organisation as well as supporting the making of some further key new hires. We have exciting and ambitious plans for the business going forwards which I am already proud to be a part of.
In these uncertain times, one of my concerns is helping establish the pathway to re-opening our London office and safely welcoming our team back, whilst at the same time recognising and looking to keep the benefits that we have obtained from more flexible working. I hope we will start to see colleagues returning to the office in the coming months, subject to the guidance of course, and benefitting from working alongside their team mates on a more frequent basis.
As a pre-curser to our return to the office I am excited about our first company event of the year which will see all our UK team physically meet to attend our Channel “Awayday” on Monday 5th July. It will be a great opportunity for us all to meet and not via “Teams”. For many like me, it will be the first time we will have met colleagues in the flesh. I am sure we will have a fun day together.
