Mid Software Engineer

Mid-Level Software Engineer

£50k to £70k + Comprehensive Benefits Package

SMEs are the backbone of the global economy. There are 24 million SMEs in Europe providing 85% of the employment and generating 60% of the GDP, yet 1/3 of SMEs cannot obtain the finance they need to grow.

Combining cutting edge technology including AI and Machine Learning, Channel Digital aims to plug the funding gap for SMEs fast.

You Will:

  • Be a founding member of a new agile cross functional team delivering an exciting greenfield platform to support the finance needs of SMEs.
  • Design, build and maintain new APIs, integrations and core abstractions.
  • Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
  • Introduce and improve engineering standards, tooling and processes.
  • Be empowered to ship and iterate rapidly.

This Role Maybe a Great Fit If You:

  • Are a mid-level polyglot developer with knowledge and experience across multiple languages (C#, JAVA, JavaScript (React, Vue, Angular, Node), Python etc.) who likes to use the right tool for the job.
  • Have experience of the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and building cloud native software (Microservices, Containers, Kubernetes etc.)
  • Have a keen interest in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
  • Have strong written and verbal communications skills.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • A degree in Computer Science and at least 3 years commercial experience, or the equivalent work experience
  • A passion for problem-solving, a rapid learner who relishes a technical challenge
  • Been key member of a cross functional agile delivery team on a greenfield project
  • Has worked successfully across the full stack (frontend and backend), is enthusiastic and promotes best practice in terms of tools, technology, and testing.
  • Pride in being part of a team successfully delivering challenging projects involving multiple technologies.

Channel are looking for exciting mid-level software engineers, who are passionate about technology and want to design and build a scalable, cloud native fintech platform that gives SMEs access to the finance they need. You will be a member of the founding technical team, with the ability to influence the technical direction of the product, your work will have a real impact. Position Overview:

Channel Capital are looking for an Office Co-ordinator that wants to work as a part of a high performing team, treat their colleagues well and have fun whilst consistently delivering. Established in 2006, Channel Capital Advisors LLP has built a technology enabled business finance engine that has funded more than $9billion in working capital across 33 countries. The purpose of the role:

  • To provide an efficient, accurate and proactive administrative support across the business.
  • To provide excellent customer service to all of our customers, suppliers, contacts etc
  • To organise and coordinate the office
Main Responsibilities
  • To coordinate administrative activities for the Company
  • To be accountable for the office administration and to organize and maintain office operations and procedures, including introducing processes to ensure best practice, compliance, efficient filing and record keeping
  • To ensure high standards of customer service are met at all times
  • Respond to requests for information from colleagues, clients and suppliers
  • Respond to the main office telephone, screening calls and transferring to relevant person as required
  • General day-to-day admin and housekeeping including liaising with the on-site maintenance such as air-conditioning, coffee machines, flowers etc and maintain the kitchen area
  • Coordinate & support inhouse meetings, client entertainments, lunches & scheduling appointments and overseeing catering during company events as appropriate
  • Coordinate inventory of office supplies, including stationery and other equipment is maintained to ensure smooth office operations
  • Creating travel itineraries for business executives, employees and company events
  • Support business executives with general office administrative support
  • Conduct regular inspections of office ensuring things are in order including emptying the dishwasher, aircon set up correctly, meeting rooms are clean and tidy
  • To help maintain and grow the business by being proactive and professional with all stakeholders
  • To be an Ambassador for our company at all times

KPI’s

KPI’s will be established on at least an annual basis and documented separately.  Performance against KPI’s and other role requirements will be undertaken and regular intervals.
