This transaction is aimed at supporting further growth in the company’s home market of France, as well as further European expansion.
Channel provided mezzanine financing for this transaction through its “Channel Fintech lending Fund 1” which was launched at the end of 2022.
“Given the current economic uncertainty, it is increasingly clear there is a significant need to support the liquidity needs of the alternative lenders. This is where Silvr, an innovative FinTech company, plays a key role, stepping in to fill the funding gap for SMBs. I am delighted that Channel was able to facilitate this transaction, as it plays an integral part of their growth and expansion plans. This investment was made via the Channel Fintech Lending Fund I, announced earlier this year. We look forward to further deployments with leading alt lenders in the US, Canada, EU and UK”.
Paul Wilson, Chief Investment Officer at Channel Capital Advisors LLP
“We are delighted to conclude this transaction with Citi and Channel, two leading institutional players, as we continue to deploy greater financing to European SMEs on a long-term basis”.
Benjamin Soussan, Chief Capital Officer of Silvr
“We are delighted to be able to meet a growing demand for loans, which has increased significantly across Europe, after securing this securitized credit facility from Citi and Channel. By proving more flexible options, tailored to their needs, Silvr is uniquely positioned to make it easier for European SMEs to access the funding they need to grow.”
