Aakriti Mehta promoted to Deputy CIO

LONDON, October 28, 2026 —

Channel Capital Advisors LLP (“Channel”), a global leading private credit asset manager specialising in asset-backed lending, has boosted its Investment Team to support its growth objectives across its fund, SMA and securitisation franchises.

Aakriti Mehta, previously Director of Origination, has been named Deputy Chief Investment Officer, reporting to CIO Johan Nisser, to further grow the business.

With nearly two decades of global experience in capital markets, private credit, and structured finance across the UK, Europe, Asia, and Africa, Aakriti brings deep expertise developed through senior roles at Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank. She has a proven record of originating, structuring, and executing complex financing solutions for corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign clients.

Commenting on the change, CIO Johan Nisser said “I am really pleased to be working more closely with Aakriti to drive our securitisation, fund and SMA business in global ABF.”
